integrated, factory-automated production system. In addition, high
product quality is consistently achieved by means of a total quality
control system which combines the joint efforts of the Development
and Production Divisions. |

Our company obtained certification for ISO-9002, the international
standard for quality control and assurance, in 1993. Furthermore,
in 2003 we also obtained certification for the international
quality management standard, ISO-9001, which covers product
designing, product development, manufacturing, and after-sales
service.

Many factory operations are automated. Unmanned
operation at night is performed by sheet metal FMS equipment and
automatic lathes. Many other operations including welding, painting
and bending have also been automated. Automation enables us to make
products efficiently and with high precision, and at the same time
respond flexibly to market needs.
The basis of our production system is the spirit of independent
development. Most of the machinery and tools in our automated facilities
have been developed in-house. Technology developed in-house, including
precision processing of stainless steel sheet metal plates and metal
mold design and processing, supports the manufacturing of products
that are at the cutting edge of the industry. |

Our Research and Development Division aims
not only at maintaining quality in mass production, but also at
detecting problems early and providing feedback to shorten the lead
time from development to production.
In addition, the skills of our production personnel, together with
factory automation, are mobilized to provide high quality and efficient
production control. At each step of processing and assembly of the
thousands of parts that go into QSS, each worker is required to
take responsibility to maintain strict quality standards. Ideas
coming from the factory floor are put into practice immediately.

At Noritsu Koki, patents stemming from the production stage are applied for together with those coming from Research and Development.
